Cert HE Commercial Music

The CertHE in Commercial Music offered by LCCM is a one-year certificate course designed for modern music makers, including solo vocalists, rappers, hip-hop and electronic music producers, ambitious DIY artists, and hands-on A&R or executive producers. The program aims to equip students with the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to start their careers and build a successful path in the music industry.

The program consists of both compulsory and optional modules, most of which are shared with other degrees at LCCM. This allows students to collaborate with peers from various disciplines within the college. The compulsory modules focus on providing a well-rounded understanding of the music industry, including its key workings, the history of pop music, and practical experience in music programming.

For optional pathways, students can choose to specialize in a creative or business direction, or even combine both aspects. Regardless of the type of music students create, they will have the opportunity to develop their creative skills while also learning how to optimize their music releases on digital platforms and navigate the modern music industry successfully.
